SBC Reveals the First Pitch 2024 Finalists

Each finalist will have 3 minutes to introduce their solutions, followed by a Q&A session with a panel of niche leaders and experts. The jury comprises prominent figures in venture capital, sports wagering and gambling sector.

Representatives of the following companies will elevate the presentations:

SBC's executive emphasised the positive response to the event, citing a surge in applications from 18 countries. This year's contest is seen as the most competitive yet, with start-ups filling vital market gaps. Gratitude was also extended to sponsors and the judging panel.

Prestigious Rewards

The winning start-up will receive a prize pack totalling around €118,000, developed to help them grow and enhance their offerings.

The top five gifts include:

1. A one-year API access to Are You Watching This? analytics and MetaBet’s data — worth €44,000.
2. A half-yearly subscription to Eilers & Krejcik Gaming's Sports & Emerging Verticals — rated at €23,000.
3. A 3x3m turnkey stand at SBC Summit 2025, with sponsorship recognition and 4 complimentary tickets — equal to €15,000.
4. SBC Media's promotional package with a half year of advertising on key industry news sites — worth €11,000.
5. Marketing credits for AWS services, including storage, AI, machine learning, and more — valued at €10,000.

Additional prizes feature interviews, legal assistance for gaming, corporate videos, exclusive brand packages, and more, each ranging from €2,300 to €5,900.

2024 Finalists

The five start-ups vying for victory are:

1. Match Hype. Converts raw data into immersive, high-quality videos in over 30 languages, featuring a range of gambling tips.
2. Random State. Blends casual gaming elements with the unpredictability of lotteries to create engaging bingo-style experiences.
3. SavageTech. A B2B SaaS provider that has developed the first gamified retention engine for the betting and casino market, allowing users to earn avatars and battle monsters while wagering.
4. StatX Sports. Provides essential odds and data services to athletic teams, leagues, bookmakers, and media outlets, enabling informed decision-making.
5. XGENIA. Focuses on creating modular, AI-driven products for various casino applications, including risk management through a fast, efficient API.

It is worth recalling that the 2023 competition was won by SnapOdds, a start-up that uses smartphone camera technology to identify live sports events and redirect punters to relevant betting options.
